Course Prerequisites
This is an advanced course. Participants must have solid knowledge in Scrum and have already worked as a Scrum Master.
For those new to the Scrum Master role we recommend the PSM I course.
Course overview
What practices, tools, skills and stances make an effective Scrum Master?
How do principles and values of Scrum help Scrum Masters make their decisions?
How can the Scrum Master act as a leader and improve his skills in this role?
These and other topics are the focus of the two-day Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) course.
The Scrum Master role is complex and often, a Scrum Master must be able to apply different stances in order to be effective, such as:
- The Scrum Master as a Teacher
- The Scrum Master as a Coach & Mentor
- The Scrum Master as a Facilitator
- The Scrum Master as a Change Agent
As a Scrum Master, you need to be able to identify, and effectively apply which stance would benefit your team the most depending on the situation.
Goals
During the 2-day course, participants will deepen the principles and values of Scrum that guides their decisions. They learn techniques to bring about changes in the environment of a Scrum Team and to create an environment in which agility and enjoyment of work grow.
Target group
The PSM II course is aimed at Scrum Masters with at least one year of experience who would like to expand their knowledge and skills and have a very good understanding of the Scrum Framework. As a prerequisite for admission to this course, the participants should have already passed their Professional Scrum Master I certification.
Certification
After the course participants have the opportunity to have their newly acquired knowledge tested with the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) Assessment. The exam is demanding and requires a sound knowledge of Scrum. The certification exam is an online test in English language. Certification fees are included in the course price.
