Vestiaire Collective fuels the future of sustainable luxury fashion

Vestiaire Collective is a global ecommerce platform that enables people to buy and sell luxury pre-owned fashion.

With over 7 million international members located in over 50 countries worldwide, Vestiaire wanted to expand into new territories in Asia, with a mission to bring sustainable luxury market to new and ajacent markets.

But this strategic ambition was hampered by the complexity of the platform’s legacy code, which made it challenging to implement new features and functionality, and adapt the platform to support the requirements in new markets.

That's why Vestiaire Collective enlisted our help to bring flexibility, agility, and scale to its legacy systems and technology, enabling the fashion brand to develop crucial new features and propel its international expansion.

Creating a scalable and sustainable solution with Zühlke

With Zühlke’s full stack engineering and delivery experience, the team identified and addressed issues within the legacy system across various languages such as Angular, Python, and PHP.

The team worked closely with Vestiaire Collective to enhance the solution architecture through the implementation of new payment and localisation features on top of the existing infrastructure.

Adopting Agile development practices, the team accelerated the delivery and deployment of new features, with a focus on applying development best practices for timely delivery within the required timeframe.

Driving a successful market launch in Asia

The Zühlke team empowered Vestiaire Collective to transform its legacy system into a powerful platform for international growth and superior customer experiences.

The addition of payment methods, localised features, and flexible components provide the flexibility to launch and scale into new markets.

With the new solution in place, Vestiaire Collective successfully launched its service into a new market, bringing its pre-loved fashion mission to East Asia.
