SWICA wants to digitalise the quotation process in a simple, user-friendly way so that it can reduce throughput times and quickly prepare individual quotations for corporate customers. Zühlke is helping make this a reality with low-code.
Complex computational logic made clear
SWICA wants to digitalise the quotation process in order to speed up throughput times. Calculating premiums for corporate health and accident insurance policies is complex. Understanding and representing this complexity in an intuitive tool is a major challenge. SWICA has an ambitious timeline and plans to have a leading-edge solution ready in the span of a few months.
Low-code standardises the technology
Starting with the vision and a rough catalogue of requirements, the calculation logic, screens and processes are designed and implemented using low-code platform technology from Mendix. Because the low-code approach standardises the technology and avoids overspecialisation, the quotation process can be tailored to meet SWICA’s specific needs. The project is being implemented by an interdisciplinary team of people from SWICA and Zühlke, including specialists in project management, software architecture, business analysis, user experience and development.
Groundwork for further digitalisation
The new tool offers a streamlined, user-friendly interface that guides employees through the quotation process, yielding a standardised, transparent quotation process. The tool is integrated into various SWICA system environments and boasts efficient operation and maintenance thanks to its low-code architecture. Offerta will provide SWICA the foundation it needs to continue moving forward with the digitalisa- tion of its business activities.
