The Opportunity.   

Join us as a Marketing and Events Specialist, where you'll lead the development and execution of impactful B2B events in the UK to strengthen our brand position.  

Working closely with diverse teams, you'll identify sponsorship opportunities that align with core business goals. Your expertise in event management will be the driving force for delivering a diverse range of event formats specifically designed to engage C-level professionals. Additionally, you'll collaborate with local event managers within the wider Marketing and Communications team to shape a unified global event strategy that caters to the preferences of a senior business audience.

Your role includes.   

  • Lead the development, organisation, and execution of local events and sponsorships in collaboration with internal stakeholders.  

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the event planning process, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes managing event organisers, venue selection, coordinating speakers, overseeing rehearsals and sourcing collateral and merchandise.  

  • Utilise MS Dynamics 365 for event management tasks, such as setting up event details and registration forms on the Zühlke website, segmenting target groups in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and sending pre- and post-event mailings. 

  • Cost management to ensure events are delivered within budget.  

  • Track and report on event performance including event attendees and leads.  

  • Provide support to local event managers as needed.  

  • Travel to deliver and oversee events in our key UK locations including London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

  •  Event Management Expertise: Strong proficiency in planning, organising, and executing various types of events, including virtual, hybrid, and on-site gatherings.  

  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and partners.  

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all aspects of event planning, from logistics to participant experience, are meticulously executed. 

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The capability to think on your feet and address unforeseen challenges or issues that may arise during event planning and execution.  

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and navigate ambiguity, when managing multiple events simultaneously.  

  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in event technology and digital platforms to leverage tools for event registration, attendee engagement, and virtual/hybrid event management.
