The United Nations Global Compact has confirmed Zühlke as new participant in the world’s leading corporate citizenship initiative. Launched in 2000 it is the most important initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance. It is a call to companies to align their strategies and operations with ten universal principles related to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals and the implementation of the United Nation’s SDGs.

“For Zühlke, participating in the UN Global Compact is a strong expression of our values and our commitment to using innovation and technology as a positive force of change for business and society”, says Zühlke Group CEO Fabrizio Ferrandina. “We anchor the principles of the UN Global Compact within our strategies, policies and operations and support the Sustainable Development Goals. Given the huge challenges of our time, particularly related to climate and health, companies must do their part.”

Innovation and technology to boost climate action and improve health and wellbeing

„UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The required annual communication on progress serves as an independent benchmark for us. We engage with other participants and take part in special programs such as Business Ambition for 1.5 degrees.” highlights Christoph Bröcker, Head of Sustainability, Zühlke Group. “We are passionate about using our expertise and skills to shape a future worth living in.”

The UN Global Compact consists of a network of more than 9.500 business participants and 3.000 other stakeholders from civil society, labour and government based in over 160 countries. Members are required to produce an annual Communication on Progress that outlines their efforts to operate responsibly and support society.

Zühlke draws on the experience of more than 10,000 software and product development projects and supports customers in a wide range of industries.
