Zühlke appoints Raphael Reischuk as CTO and Romano Roth as CAIO

With these new roles, Zühlke is strengthening the Group’s overall technology direction and its AI strategy across all industries and locations. Both roles will be held by experienced Zühlke partners who have been named among Switzerland’s Top 100 Digital Shapers by BILANZ and Handelszeitung: Raphael Reischuk since 2021 and Romano Roth since spring 2026.
“Technology as a whole, and artificial intelligence in particular, are more important than ever in determining which organisations will remain relevant tomorrow. In Raphael and Romano, we have two people within our ranks who have been actively shaping this development in Switzerland and internationally for years. They have a clear point of view and, at the same time, stay close to implementation. I’m proud that we’re filling these important roles with two outstanding experts, and I’m excited about what we’ll achieve together with our clients in this new setup.”
Raphael Reischuk: from Group Head of Cybersecurity to Group CTO
Raphael Reischuk was previously responsible for establishing and expanding Zühlke’s cybersecurity business as Group Head of Cybersecurity. As Group CTO, he will shape the Group’s overall technology direction going forward.
Reischuk completed his doctorate with distinction at the Center for IT-Security, Privacy, and Accountability and at Cornell University. He was a Senior Researcher at ETH Zurich and is one of the co-inventors of the secure internet architecture SCION. He is also co-founder and board member of the Swiss National Test Institute for Cybersecurity and a member of the Innovation Council of Innosuisse.
“Technology is no longer an end in itself. It’s at the heart of every business decision. As Group CTO, I want to ensure our clients receive not only solutions that work, but also clear guidance on the most urgent questions of our time: Which technologies have real potential? What risks do they bring? How can they create genuine value? Which talents do we need for this, and how do we attract them?”
Romano Roth: from Chief of Cybernetic Transformation to Group CAIO
Romano Roth has been with Zühlke for more than 20 years. Most recently, as Chief of Cybernetic Transformation, he was responsible for the strategic development of Zühlke’s offering around topics such as cloud solutions, DevOps, and AI integration. As Group CAIO, he will shape Zühlke’s AI strategy across all industries and locations.
Roth is President of DevOps Days Zurich, a lecturer in DevOps leadership and agile methods at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and author of the book ‘The Cybernetic Enterprise’.
“Our mission at Zühlke is clear: AI transformation that creates measurable progress for our clients. The decisive lever is not more pilot projects, but the controlled use of AI agents. What matters is governance designed around this, an operating model developed around AI, and a clear goal to empower colleagues rather than replace them. Organisations that realign themselves in this way turn AI potential into real value creation, and this is exactly where I want to work with our clients.”
