Zühlke supported the start-up Setza with business consulting and technical assistance in developing a display for booking and labelling shared spaces.


«ROOMZ», Setza’s innovative solution for labelling meeting rooms makes allocating shared spaces transparent, flexible and efficient. A wireless, battery powered display shows all the necessary information on the room›s availability. Changes at short notice are immediately visible and the room can be booked or released on the spot directly on the display. The wireless connection uses Wi-Fi and / or LPWAN (Lora standard). The information is retrieved from the client’s Microsoft Exchange (Server) or IBM Domino server.  It is not a standalone booking system, but an integrated solution that enhances the existing system. Setza was looking for an experienced sparring partner that could assist them with their business plan and the system architecture.


Zühlke's team analyzed the business plan and provided input on the product’s positioning and USP. Setza and Zühlke jointly developed the system architecture using an agile process. Zühlke based the back-end on Microsoft technologies and implemented the connections to the Exchange server and related functions, such as booking a meeting room on the touch panel. In addition, Zühlke assisted the customer with the wireless connection via LPWAN (Lora).
