How should digitalisation take place?

Health insurer Visana planned to digitise their processes to increase cost-effectiveness and offer customers simpler and better access. Zühlke was contracted to help identify processes and evaluate them according to their potential for digitalisation. The goal was to establish a strategic framework with a clear implementation plan.

Project delimitation

Together with Visana, Zühlke specialists created a digitalisation roadmap for the actual transformation. The implementation was conducted in clearly defined individual projects to ensure the practicability and secure the investment.


Clear starting point

The assessment identified the most suitable areas within Visana to commence with digitalisation, thus fixing a precise starting position. Zühlke experts analysed the health insurer’s processes from a neutral perspective, which paved the way for the change. Zühlke’s consultation also enabled Visana to drive other digitalisation initiatives forward of their own accord.
