This course requires little to no experience with VR, AR or the metaverse.
Course overview
In the theoretical part, you will learn the basics of the metaverse. Facts and figures will bring you up to speed on the current status. Plus, you will be introduced to the differences between Web2 and Web3. At the end of the course, you will also have a basic understanding of other relevant technologies such as NFTs and blockchain.
Hands-on means: gaining lots of practical experience in addition to learning about theory. The hands-on portion will include an introduction into VR and AR technologies, which you will then use yourself. With the headsets provided by us, you will discover new worlds, take your first steps and try out exciting games. In this way, you can get a feel for what’s possible – including in terms of business applications.
In the last part, we’ll take a look at the future: What opportunities does the metaverse offer? What are the risks? What use cases are conceivable? How can your company ideally prepare itself? We will address these questions and more during the discussion portion.
Goals
After the course, you will understand what the metaverse is all about. You will be familiar with various applications and have tried them out yourself. Moreover, you will be familiar with the opportunities and risks presented by the metaverse – and how your company can best prepare for them.
