Software Architect Java/.Net

Software Engineering
What your job will involve
  • You are responsible for the entire software architecture of medium to large projects. You act as a sparring partner to the business and ensure that the interaction between business and IT runs smoothly.
  • You know how to develop tailor-made products for the customer's business case and needs.
  • Together with your team, you are responsible for conceiving, designing, and implementing technical solutions. You oversee everything from above and are able to make important decisions even in the most complex situations.
  • You act as a coach, develop the strengths of each team member, and know how to make the most of their individual skills.
  • In the spirit of a knowledge sharing economy, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge through gatherings, dojos and technology camps.
What you should offer
  • You have years of experience in software development and architecture (at least 3 years). You are convinced of the current Java stack (Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot) or .NET stack (.NET Core, ASP.NET Core) and do not leave the testing and operation of your software to others.
  • Your focus so far has been mainly on the back end, particularly the implementation of modern software architectures such as hexagonal architecture, microservices, and cloud native. But the front end is not foreign to you either and you have experience of working with modern web application frameworks such as React or Angular.  You are also familiar with standard data persistence technologies (SQL databases, Hibernate, NoSQL databases) and have a solid understanding of data modelling and API design.
  • You are a thinker, a doer, and a motivator. Your enthusiasm and professionalism inspire us. The connection to technology is important to you, you have a hands-on mentality, and you are driven by shared goals.
  • In addition to a university degree in computer science, you also speak fluent English and basic German.

What we offer

Zühlke will support your success with a unique corporate culture for which we have been recognised as one of the best employers in Germany. It is important to us that we help you develop and improve with continuous, high-quality training. We take an interdisciplinary approach and we regularly share experiences and learn from one another. At Zühlke, you will appreciate how we all communicate openly, are honest about our abilities and enjoy working as a team. Last but not least, we offer an attractive remuneration package and a modern working environment, and we are all committed to bettering ourselves each day.

You can also look forward to
  • Family-friendly culture: if necessary, you can arrange to reduce your hours to 80 percent, take unpaid leave or work from home. In addition, we offer care solutions in family emergencies. We also contribute towards the cost of childcare and will give you 10 days’ unpaid leave if your child falls ill.
  • Freedom & autonomy: our trusting management style gives you the freedom to make decisions autonomously (such as when ordering equipment), as well as the flexibility to arrange your working hours around your lifestyle and circumstances.
  • Zühlke Camp: one of the most important institutions at our company. Over the course of three days, you get to explore technical topics that interest you, meet colleagues from other locations... and have some fun! Of course, you won’t have to pay for board and lodging either.
