Your role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join Zühlke as Senior Group Controller. As Senior Group Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial guidance, controlling activities, and decision support to the senior management team and the broader organization. You will be responsible for supporting the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across our Group. Hereby you are ensuring accurate and timely financial information to facilitate informed business decisions. This is to ensure groupwide harmonized controlling and reporting processes including target setting, planning, implementation, monitoring, and feedback.
The Senior Group Controller will report directly to the Head of Group Controlling.
How you’ll spend your time
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, consolidated reports, and variance analyses to senior management and the board of directors.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Help to lead the group's budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with business units and departments to develop accurate financial plans.
- Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance, investigating and explaining variances.
Cost Controlling and Efficiency Improvements:
- Implement and enhance cost control measures, actively identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the organization.
- Work closely with operational teams to develop and track cost improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement and Automation:
- Identify opportunities and enhance financial processes through automation and technology.
- Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, serving as a trusted financial advisor to department heads and business leaders.
- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to non-financial stakeholders.
What’s important to us
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related area. MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and controlling with a preferred focus on a professional service provider environment.
- Sound knowledge of data management as well as the maintenance and further development of BI tools.
- Flexibility, independence, and necessary calmness and composure even in stressful situations.
- Very good analytical skills, ability to think interconnected, and be very assertive.
- Very strong communication skills in English with German being a plus.
