We are looking for experienced engineers to join our growing team that is currently developing application software for a set of professional medical devices. Medical devices are developed for large MedTech client and are planned to be used for various diagnostic purposes. Application software is written in Kotlin and is using Android framework. As part of application software team besides daily interaction with our Kotlin and Android engineers, you will be joining our global diversified team consisting of Embedded, Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. 

Since we are working on a high-risk medical product, safety and high code quality is mandatory. 

What kind of colleague are we looking for?   
  • Software engineer with at least 3 years of development experience in Kotlin or Java 
  • Good understanding of OOP and software engineering fundamentals 
  • Fluency in English 

Would be considered as a plus:    
  • Experience in Android (or willingness to learn advanced Android) 
  • Experience in automated testing (unit, integration and UI) 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and other CI/CD tools  
  • Experience in Agile development process 
  • Experience in development of medical or other regulated software  

Your role: 
  • Development of application software with tech stack predominantly in Kotlin and Android   
  • Working on a well-structured, long-term, yet complex project that will influence people’s life and health  
  • Creating quality solutions through applying clean code guidelines and automated testing practices 
  • Integrating application software with hardware and external systems 
  • Guiding our client towards a successful technical solution of their challenges   
  • Using Agile (Scrum) methodologies  
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues from Embedded, Electronics and Mechatronics department 
  • Opportunity for business travel to other Zühlke/client location (several times a year)
