The newest addition to our Zühlke UK offices

9 St Andrews Square, Edinburgh, EH2 2AF

We're situated on the 6th Floor with lovely balcony views over the City

Located to the west side of St Andrews Square (New Town) in the city centre which sits at the end of Rose Street.

Edinburgh is a best described as a chocolate box city with rich history on every corner, though generally being a smaller city compared to other UK cities. Locals will either speak of the; “Old Town” - which is everything around the castle and the “New Town” everything around Princess Street as the city expanded. The city is very dense with shops, restaurants, cafe’s and bistros.

The city regularly gets busy from March to Dec with the various events which run throughout the year such as: Science festival, Film festival, Book festival, Turing festival, Fringe, Edinburgh International Festival, Christmas and New Year festival… August is peak tourism so expect slower transport links into the city centre and access to shops.

Transport Links

  • The office is only 2 minutes away from a tram stop which can take you to Haymarket station or the airport

  • 5 mins away from Waverley train station

  • Buses are available throughout the city - Use “Transport for Edinburgh” app to find links

  • Car parking in the city centre is expensive and many roads are either closed, diverted or congested generally. You can park out “Edinburgh Park” for FREE while using the trams stop to get to St Andrews Square, as-well as paid parking at “Ingliston Park & Ride” - 18-25 mins to get back and forth.

Food/Drink

Some of our favourite places to eat are:

All Bar One

Only a few yards from the office, it offers light refreshments and food throughout the day - 5 minutes from the office

Foundry Project

Offers a great rustic burger experience with a great range of drinks and atmosphere - 12-15 minutes walk from the office

Maki & Ramen

Edinburghs sot after authentic Japanese dining experience is found in the St James centre, which is only 10 minutes from the office

Ciao Roma

Classic Italian experience based in the Old Town, only 15 - 20 minutes walk from the office

Salerno Pizza

A new restaurant serving a good range of gourmet pizzas - situated at the top of the St James centre only 10 minutes walk from the office

Tiles

A Scottish pub which offers some local cuisine - is only 3 minutes walk from the office, serves some great

Our core values

We are deeply committed to our core values. Courage, client success, out-standing performance, and integrity make up our common denominator, with a lasting impact on our teams. These values are reflected in our daily work, in the expectations we have for our projects, and in the way we collaborate with each other.

Courage

Curiosity triggers our innovative ideas. We constantly challenge the status quo and break new ground. That’s how we move our clients’ projects forward. At the same time, we know that failures are an opportunity to learn. They make us smarter and stronger, and ultimately help broaden our horizons.
Event hub icons 03

Client success

Listening comes before acting. We must thoroughly understand our clients’ challenges if we are to develop the right solutions for them. Solutions that create new opportunities and give our clients an edge over their competitors. As a result, both our clients and their end users profit from our work – as do we as a company.
Event hub icons 03

Outstanding performance

Great performance is key to keeping our client promise. We enjoy performing well and achieving extraordinary results. That is how we inspire our clients and each other. Our work gains another level with our cross-functional teams because connected expertise results in even better solutions. We invest heavily in our employees to help them achieve top performance – and beat their own records – so that we can carry our successes into the future.
Event hub icons 04

Integrity

Our clients trust us because we are a reliable partner to them, because we keep our promises, and because we take responsibility for their success. That drives their own business as much as that of their customers. This kind of trust is the basis for the long-term partnerships that we build along the entire value chain. We treat each other as equals and create close-knit teams, both as Zühlke employees and together with our clients.

Graduates are generally hired and trained with the expectation that they will stay with the organisation. Unlike typical graduate schemes, here at Zuhlke this means graduates are permanent employees, and like everyone else need to pass probation to continue growing on their individual career path through the training and support we provide.

There will potentially be opportunities to travel for work or training to other locations. For work purposes this depends on your role and the projects you will be working on. However, there are also self-funded opportunities that allow you the flexibility to travel whilst working from another Zühlke location across the world. Infact, due to the flexible nature of our working, may people travel to different countries and continue to work for Zühlke (project dependent).

At Zuhlke you will be in the driver seat for shaping your career. With the help of your career coach and mentors, this can allow you to explore a number of opportunities through various industries and disciplines. Growth at Zuhlke does not tie you just to one progression track, as we will support you in discovering a number of possibilities. However, if you are certain of what discipline you would like to develop into, you will be able to explore this in-depth and progress within it.

As a graduate you’ll be aligned to a specific office, but you may be required to have a flexible and agile approach to working from other offices, client sites or from home depending on your role and the projects you’re working on.

When attending the office there is no official dress code. Trainers, jeans & t-shirt is commonly what Zühlkies tend to wear, however, please be mindful if you're meeting with clients onsite, offsite or virtually where we're expected to dress a bit smarter.

Your first day at Zühlke will be Monday 4th September 2023, where you will attend the office you have been assigned to.

Soon after you join you will discover our collaborative and supportive culture. What you need to know is that we truly live it and are excited to have you onboard. A number of us will welcome you in-person or virtually but please don’t shy away from approaching others and introducing yourself, as well as scheduling meetings with colleagues you would like to meet. This is the best way to get to meet us and learn who works on what and start creating your own network within Zuhlke. Everyone will be happy to meet you, reply to you or answer any questions you may have for them.
