Your role
  • You will develop and implement drive controls for state-of-the-art, highly efficient electric drives
  • In addition to design, you will also be responsible for requirements gathering for power electronics modules and functional groups for household, industrial and medical devices
  • The role will also involve circuit design with a focus on power electronics, in particular frequency converters and drive controls, as well as microcontroller circuit design
  • You will be responsible for implementing and verifying the development and will provide support for system integration and device verification
  • You will act independently in dealing with customers and projects and will work in an advisory capacity

Your talent
  • You will bring to the role an in-depth knowledge and at least eight years experience in electric drives and their control using e.g. frequency converters, and have an up-to-date overview of circuit and semiconductor technology
  • You already have experience in other areas of electronics development, e.g. microcontroller circuits and voltage converters
  • In addition, you have a solid knowledge in and development experience with drive controls (with and without sensors, field-oriented control) and are comfortable working with simulation and optimisation tools such as Simulink
  • Good knowledge of at least one hardware description language (VHDL, Verilog) and one of the common FPGA families is preferable
  • You have a degree in electrical engineering or a similar field and can speak fluent German (C1) and English
