Zühlke impressed us with their fast and goal-driven implementation process, their focus on customer satisfaction and on delivering a superb user experience.
By networking such analogue home appliances as lamps, blinds, coffee machines and heating systems, digitalSTROM enables the intelligent control of a wide variety of processes in your own home via a digital platform. Owing to the rapid technical innovation of Smart Home products, a wide range of control apps were developed over the years that struggled to find a foothold in the market because of their complexity. And so, the company decided to merge the existing apps into a single application, creating a digitalSTROM Smart Home solution that can be centrally controlled and boasts increased userfriendliness, thereby appealing to and reaching a wider range of consumers.
In collaborative agile teams, the experts from Zühlke and digital-STROM carried out competitor analyses and creative design workshops, interviews and investigations of customers’ user behaviour in order to develop data-driven use cases that correspond to the actual needs of users. The user concept and the technical implementation were realised in iterations and continuously tested with real customers.
The result is an intuitive app that enables the regulation of Smart Home components such as lighting, temperature, shading, music or alarms via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it’s a cosy dinner, a movie night or the usual morning routine – the new app allows you to create all kinds of scenarios at the touch of a button. The flexible IT structure also allows developers to continually add new features, enabling them to respond quickly to changing market conditions or customer needs.
