Zurich, Switzerland – 22 March 2017
In 2016, the Zühlke Group increased its turnover by 6% to around CHF 133 million, while the number of employees grew to over 800. Among other developments, this year will see the opening of a new location in Singapore.
Zühlke can look back on a very successful year. The innovative solutions service provider increased its turnover to CHF 133 million, which corresponds to a boost of 6%. Meanwhile, the number of employees grew by 11% to 810. Growth can also be seen at the company’s international sites. Zühlke Asia is being founded this year with locations in Singapore, where the focus will initially be on clients in the finance industry. Local exchange with clients should also generate relevant knowledge for Zühlke’s customers in Europe.
The company's systematic approach to positioning itself as an innovative solution service provider in key industries, started in the previous year, has proven a success, with significant increases in orders and turnover for the industrial, banking, insurance and life sciences industries. Markets recorded a sharp rise in digitalisation and innovation activities, which are optimally supported by the company’s portfolio of solutions – particularly with regard to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0.
Intensified cooperation with large international partners contributed to this positive development. In addition, skill development and the positioning of innovation topics such as mixed reality and blockchain technology have been promoted across an array of industries. Some initial projects have already been implemented.
“The prospects for the current business year are very encouraging; digitalisation is the number one innovation topic at a lot of companies,’ says Philipp Sutter, CEO of Zühlke Switzerland. ‘We are the perfect choice for this kind of work, and we will continue to invest in our digitalisation skills in 2017.”
