Zurich – 6 November 2017
As of 1 July 2018, Nicolas Durville will succeed Philipp Sutter, the long-standing CEO, as head of the innovation service provider in Switzerland. Sutter will become Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zühlke Group.
Change of leadership at Zühlke Switzerland: From 1 July 2018, Nicolas Durville will become CEO of the innovation service provider's largest location. Durville (45) joined Zühlke in 2004 already. After beginning as business unit manager, he became area manager, and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2010.
CEO Philipp Sutter, who has been active in Zühlke since 1995, and in his current position since 2003, is staying with the company. The 52-year-old will be proposed for election as President of the Board of Directors of the Zühlke Group mid-2018. "In future, I would like to focus on the strategic development of the company, and after 15 years it's time for a change", says Philipp Sutter. Under his leadership, group sales have risen from 36 to 133 million francs.
"Nicolas Durville is exceedingly well-connected within the Zühlke Group and has an excellent understanding of the market. The change in personnel was planned over the long term and is being communicated to our employees, our customers and the public today already", says Philipp Sutter.
New CEO Nicolas Durville has a clear goal: “I plan to continue the path we've taken so far at Zühlke as a partner for business innovation, because we want to evolve into a global player in this field.” The Zühlke Group already has locations in Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Serbia, and since this year in Singapore.
There are additional changes in the group's Board of Directors: Samuel Gartmann, previously Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Andreas Strahm are retiring on grounds of age, Christoph Dürmüller, Partner of the Zühlke Group, wishes to make room for new external Directors and is making his position available. Oliver Gassmann will remain in Zühlke's administrative board, which, in addition to Philipp Sutter, will also be joined by Martin Rutishauser from Zühlke Ventures and Michael Hirsch. Hirsch was previously Chairman of the group management. Fabrizio Ferrandina, CEO of Zühlke Germany, is taking over this position in addition to his current role. The changes in the Board of Directors will be confirmed with the elections at the Annual General Meeting in June 2018.
