Chur, 31st January 2019
As of tomorrow (Friday), it will be on its way: the modern conference and innovation carriage of Rhaetian Railway (RhB), giving new impetus to Swiss meeting culture and, at the same time, getting creative ideas rolling. Inspired by the passing Graubünden mountain landscape, teams of up to 15 members can solve key corporate matters, attend innovation workshops or hold classic conferences while on the move. The InnoTren is the result of a cooperation between the Chur University of Applied Sciences (HTW Chur), Zühlke and RhB.
Escape the daily office grind and move about rather than sit – all while watching the beautiful Graubünden mountain landscape pass you by: the InnoTren provides a creative working environment for teams and think tanks, as well as anyone looking for a mobile train of thought. An old Glacier Express car was converted for the purpose. “I really believe in the InnoTren concept: there’s no way out, everyone is gathered together in the same room. All ideas are put on the table, on the large panoramic windows, or on the flip chart,” says RhB Director Renato Fasciati at the unveiling of the railway carriage today (Thursday) at Chur railway station.
The InnoTren was designed and implemented in collaboration with the HTW Chur and Zühlke. This means the carriage also comes with the option of booking a moderator from the Chur University of Applied Sciences or Zühlke. Jürg Kessler, rector of the HTW Chur, was pleased to announce: “The space, the people and the process are key to generating and implementing ideas. The necessary space has been created and we at the HTW Chur are more than happy to support the process.”
Zühlke CEO Nicolas Durville agrees: “Innovative ideas are born in a remarkable environment. The unusual setting provided by InnoTren is inspiring. Meetings and workshops held in the railway carriage lead to completely different results than everyday meetings held in the office.”
As partner for business innovation, Zühlke pools its expertise in business, technology and customer experience in products, services and business models for the digital future.
