The Zühlke experts worked in Scrum mode. Thus, approaches and ideas were quickly validated, which enabled particularly short iteration cycles.
Testers, designers, product managers and operational specialists were integrated into the development teams in order to avoid lengthy downstream acceptance processes. Continuous delivery allowed deployment of an individual new feature as soon as it was completed. Test-driven development and automated tests at every level of the application assured a high degree of quality, even when changes were being introduced frequently and rapidly.
Advanced use of HTML5 was made to optimise the user experience in the browser. A NoSql database was used to support extremely high scalability of the application and flexibility of the data structure.
