Zühlke awards the 2009 scholarship
Congratulations to the winner of the second Zühlke international scholarship. Andreas Grünert (27), a graduate of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), impressed the jury with his presentation and receives the Zühlke scholarship of CHF 15,000 to study for an MA abroad.
Having successfully completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist after leaving school, he has been studying technical and computer science at BFH since 2005, specialising in IT security, and plans to graduate in August 2009. His MA in IT security at Royal Holloway College, University of London will start in September 2009. After the course Andreas Grünert would like to work in Thailand for a while and bring to that country his knowledge and understanding of the importance of IT security. His leisure activities include travel, climbing and organising events.
Zühlke is accepting applications for this scholarship again next year. Details and information on this will be available from March 2010. We are looking for students who are in the final year of their diploma or who graduated from a Swiss university not longer than three years ago. The scholarship supports MA students of technical subjects, in particular electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering.
