Advanced Test Driven Development
Description
The course interprets intensive automated developer testing as a way to create a “safety culture” for development. Through a combination of short lectures and intensive hands-on exercises the implications of this are explored. The course includes a testing clinic in which production unit testing issues are addressed in a workshop setting.
Goals
Developers who are already familiar with the use of unit tests to improve quality will gain an enhanced understanding of TDD as a design tool and enabler of other beneficial practices.
Attendees will learn how to use automated unit tests to produce higher quality code more quickly with less risk.
Participants
The course is intended for programmers working in object-oriented languages (Java or C#, C++) using unit (or “developer”) tests.
